Diet for HEALTHY GLOWING SKIN

Water :
Drink plenty of fluids as t flushes out toxins out of your system and keeping
your kidneys, live and bowel functioning effectively. Water will keep your skin
supple and hydrated.

ANTIOXIDANTS : Include loads of yellow and orange coloured
foods like carrits, sweet potato, yellow and orange bell peppers, oranges,
mangoes, papayas, lemons and apricots. These foods are rich in vitamin C and A.
Vitamin A acts as an antioxidant to neutralise harmful elements in the skin;
preventing wrinkles, resisting infection.
Vitamin C protects and promotes
collagen; thus delaying nset of wrinkles. BERRIES: like blueberries,
strawberries, blackberries, plum, beets and red grapes are great source of
polyphenols that are known for antiaging properties and lend a pink glow to the
skin

Vitamin E : Its daily dose is a
prerequisite for glowing youthful skin. ADD ALMONDS, ASPARAGUS, FISH, AVOCADOS,
BROCCOLI, CORN, COTTONSEED OIL, FORTIFIED CEREALS, SY BEAN OIL, SPINACH,
SUNFLOWER SEEDS, WALNUTS.
Vitamin E prevents free radical formation, enhances
healing and tissue repair process. It slows down aging and prevents formation
of wrinkles.
Green tea is another way to enhance anti oxidants in
your diet.

GREEN VEGGIES : Eat at least 50 gm of
veggies per day. You can have veggies like broccoli, sprouts, cabbage, green
bell peppers, kiwi and spinach. These green are rich in iron whch prevents
formation of dark circles.

VEGETABLE OIL : Use oils rich in poly and
monounsaturated fatty acids like sesame, mustard and olive oils for cooking to
overcome dryness. Good fats are required to maintain skin texture. These oils ,
being rich in omega 3 fatty acids , are good for heart.

FIBRE CONTAINING FOODS: Include high
fibre foods lke oats, barley, ragi, bajra, whole wheat grains, fruits and
vegetables in your diet. These are rich in B vitamins which aid new skin cell
growth
